About the data. The content and data in the Chinland Monitoring Briefing are compiled, as far as accessible, from news media reports, statements of the relevant organizations and information obtained from local residents. Actual figures on the ground may be higher.

Headline figures are the monthly totals published in each briefing. The map and log show individual incidents reported in the briefing, so they may not add up to every total. Locations use MIMU Place Codes (village points v9.7, town points v9.4); where a village could not be matched with confidence, the incident is shown at township level. Mizoram locations are approximate district headquarters. Boundaries are MIMU township boundaries and do not imply endorsement.
